Macro Views Survey Findings Summary
Polling for the July 2024 Macro Views survey was conducted from 6/4/2024 – 7/7/2024 and saw participation from 1768 IT decision makers, including 293 Fortune 500 and 419 Global 2000 organizations. Of the total survey respondents, 26% hold C-suite titles, with another 49% respondents at the VP / Director level. Geographically, 78% of respondents are from North America. The Services/Consulting, IT/TelCo, and Financials/Insurance verticals collectively account for 52% of respondents. Finally, 61% are from Large organizations and 39% are from Midsize and Small organizations.
IT spend estimates for the full-year 2024 spend are more cautious than January levels of 4.3% but ticked higher this survey, from 3.4% to 3.7%. The downward revision in full-year IT spending growth is less prevalent among large enterprises (-0.5 percentage points), while small organizations (-1.8 percentage points) indicate a decline of more than 2.5x in magnitude.
