The October 2024 Macro Views survey, based on insights from over 1,700 IT decision makers, including more than 600 Fortune 500 and Global 2000 organizations, reveals key trends in IT spending. This iteration includes spend projections, key growth areas, and cost management trends.
Key findings:
- IT spending for 2024 is expected to increase by 3.4%, consistent with previous projections over the last six months.
- The initial forecast for 2025 is more optimistic, predicting a 4.8% growth in IT spend.
- Global 2000 companies are showing a slight uptick in 2024 spending, while smaller organizations are cutting back.
- C-suite respondents forecast 4.5% growth in 2024, higher than other levels, and predict a 6.4% increase for 2025, outpacing the general 4.8% projection.
