ETR is looking for a Research Coordinator / Project Manager to join our Data and Analytics team. This person will be responsible for managing all aspects of the survey research process, from scoping and design through to analysis and deliverables. This is a hands-on role that requires not just coordinating resources, but also getting in the weeds and writing high-quality survey questions, manipulating data in a variety of tools, and putting together high-quality presentations of data with tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinating/managing all aspects of the survey research process (scoping, questionnaire design, programming, testing, polling, analysis, and deliverables)
- Drafting high-quality survey questionnaires from client specs
- Helping sales scope survey-project requests
- Creating customer-facing data-deliverables, including Excel files, Power BI visualizations, and PowerPoint reports
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Evaluating new tools to improve our survey operations (e.g., testing AI tools for analyzing survey data more efficiently)
- Evaluating vendors for potential partnerships (e.g., finding a vendor to help fill survey sample which is lacking in our own database)
- Improving the quality of our reports and deliverables (e.g., finding a tool or partner that can level-up the quality of our research reports)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience writing survey questionnaires
- Experience with survey tools like Forsta/Decipher (strongly preferred), Qualtrics, or Alchemer
- Comfort with survey methodology concepts like sampling bias and response bias
- Strong skills working with data in an excel spreadsheet
- Basic programming skills, or a willingness to learn basic Python/SQL skills
- Experience with PowerPoint
- Experience with Power BI (strongly preferred) or some other enterprise data-visualization platform
- Comfort/experience doing desk-research to learn about products/topics/industries/companies (i.e., candidate should be able to familiarize themselves with a client’s business to help them write a decent questionnaire)
